One of the biggest areas that multi-level marketing has become effective in is cosmetics and beauty products. When I was little boy I remember the Avon lady coming around every week and my mother buying perfume and other beauty items. This is not technically a network marketing company but you can see how effective a personal touch can be with these products.
Another great example is Mary Kay and her organization. I don’t know how many pink Cadillacs they gave out but it was a lot. All of this just based on friends telling friends about network marketing opportunities in the beauty and cosmetic fields.
Some companies are now offering designer perfume and cologne along with all there other products. No longer are women forced to trudge to a big impersonal store in order to get their beauty needs met. Now they can find just exactly what they need from a friend in their own living room.
