Evaluating Network Marketing Companies

Network marketing is a marketing strategy where you basically sell products to people who you know. This strategy has been around for decades and has been proven to be quite successful. Think about it, would you trust the opinion of some sales person more or your friend? Because of its power to covert, many companies have used this model to sell expensive products that most people wouldn’t normally purchase if they merely saw them on the shelves at a retail store. There are thousands of network marketing companies out there. With all of them saying that they are the best, how do you know which one to choose? Here are some pointers.

The first thing you will want to do is to research on the company itself. The longer it has been around, typically, the better. Most of these types of companies go bankrupt in under three years. The last thing you want happen is to put a ton of work and time into a company only to see it go under and lose everything you’ve worked hard for. What you can do is search for the company online and see what other people have to say about them. Search for terms like “Herbalife Scam” or whatever company you want to know about with the word “scam” behind it. You will most likely find a lot of negative opinions about even the best companies but the point is to see both sides of the argument to get a better idea of how the company is.

The next thing you want to look at is the people. The company can be great but if the people you have to work with are dishonest, they are going to bring your business down. If you search for Amway Scam, you will find that this company got a lot of heat due to what their reps did and how they unethically ran the business.

Finally, before you decide to join a network marketing company, ask yourself if you can proudly tell people you are a part of one of these companies. If you can’t and have to make up some title to hide what you really do, then it’s probably best to pick another business.
